Mountain King Super Trekker AS Pole - CW Review

Country Walking Magazine Gear Test, March 2009 -  Mountain King Super Trekker Anti Shock Walking Pole.

The Super Trekker boasts a soft and well-shaped handle as well as a long extended grip. The strap is soft and well-padded and the adjustment system is simple but effective. The poles feel quite light in use, especially for anti shock models, yet the 7075 aluminium shaft showed few signs of use after a few good walks. The on-off for the anti shock system is excellent - easy to use with no play in the system when switched off - and the twist-lock system proved reliable all day. Missed out on second place (to a Leki pole) by a whisker.

Notes: The extended grip can be very useful when traversing steep sections that are too short to warrant adjusting the length.
